Robotoki

We are an independent video game studio in Los Angeles, CA. Currently developing original IPs across console, PC, mobile, and tablets.

When jaeger's die, they become furniture.

The second attack in just as many weeks was upon us. The alarms blared across the valley, and with the defensive pacific coast barrier downed in the first battle two weeks prior, we knew this kaiju would reach us in hours. So we powered him up, armed him with the remaining stockpile of munitions available to us and we sent him over the hill to meet our attacker...

This is what returned.

To honor our fallen hero, we would immortalized him forever in our room of conference. We would gather around him daily, inspired by his heroics and design a game worthy of his sacrifice. Our concept artists went to work immediately to craft a design that would preserve his integrity, while meeting our functional needs to meet.

Over the course of 9 months, we work closely with our builders at Tom Spina Design to combine steel, PVC piping, fiberglass, wood, and foam to repair and cover the battle damage of our fallen hero. While leaving some of the more battle scared areas exposed to remind us of the hellish injuries he suffered to bring us this victory.

Piece by piece, we assembled him back together, and prepared for the long journey home to Robotoki Studios in Sherman Oaks, California.

Once he arrived, the installation into his permanent memorial began. Thanks to a series of team members, we carried him to his final resting place piece by piece, and immortalized him in the center of our studio for all to see.
